Apparently, Versus has a High Def channel. How one goes about watching it is beyond me.

I have Time Warner Cable & they don’t carry it (but I have requested it)

I looked at DirectTV & Dish Network and neither of them have it.

So I decided to go to the source & ask. I’ve emailed Versus as well as called them (203-406-2500) but I’ve got no reply to either.

The NHL Playoffs are approaching really fast & without the Versus HD channel, I’m gonna be stuck watching most of the games in SD and after watching all of the games on INHD last year (Versus simulcast their games on the now defunct INHD2 channel last season) that’s really gonna suck.

I know for a fact DirecTV has Versus as I have worked for DTV….however their HD version of it I’m not sure of. I’d give it a bit but DTV is rediculously expensive when it comes to their programming and Satellite costs.

Most cable/satellite have the standard Versus channel and I’ll be able to watch all the games, but I WANT TO WATCH THEM IN HD :(

Why? After looking at the schedual it looks like Versus only has HD programming on Tuesdays and Wednesdays…

That’s probably also why nobody wants to carry it. Because they would get calls constantly by dumb idiots who can’t read because they watch to much TV asking, “Why isn’t there anything on Versus HD?” Most likely it’s just a lack of HD programming issue. Nobody wants to sign a deal to carry a channel that only has programming 2 days out of the week.

My only real concern is the NHL games the broadcast, which are in HD. From this page:
ALL VERSUS QUARTERFINALS GAMES ARE IN HD.

As far as why they only have shows scheduled on Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s, I have no idea (but I remember March’s HD schedule had programming on every day, so I assume they just screwed up)
